The Kingston upon Thames museum and Heritage service is a part of Kingston upon Thames Corporation’s education and Leisure department. The museum is considered as the accredited local history museum in Kingston upon Thames, London.
The museum consists of three types of permanent galleries.
“Ancient Origins” gallery which provides the details of borough’s past from prehistoric to Anglo Saxon times. The Royal borough of Kingston upon Thames has a rich archaeological heritage.
“Town of kings” gallery which consists of the history of the Kingston as a market town from medieval period to World War II. The gallery was opened in November 1997.
“Eadweard Muybridge” gallery which was dedicated for the Victorian photographer. He was born and died in Kingston.

Close on Monday, Wednesday, Sunday, bank holidays, Christmas Eve and Good Friday to Easter Monday.
Tuesday, Friday, Saturday 10am to 5pm.
