The British dental association museum is considered as one of the largest dental collection heritage of United Kingdom. It is housed with more than 30 000 objects. The museum reveals the way the dentistry has been evolved from the marketplace spectacle to the complex treatments and procedures of present day.
The museum was founded in 1919. It was introduced as a resource for British dental association members. It was opened to the general public in 1967 as it was popular more. Now it is famous among the school groups and provides oral health education. The collection includes Waterloo teeth, public health information films and posters from 1940s.
The museum focuses all the visitors and provides education and outreach service for the schools and adult groups.
And also the museum tries to bring the story of relevance of the past, present and future of dentistry and to give a great insight to the audience.
